On seeing our performance and commitment towards all the projects so far we have undertaken, also noted our financial strength as a group, we were invited by Klang Port Management to participate in the refurbishment, maintenance, and operation of two Konecranes and its conveyor system, which were down and out of order for nearly a year and to operate berth no. 24 and berth no. 25 of dry bulk terminal. It was due to our past records of good performance and foresight of the management that Klang Port Management has such solid confidence in awarding us this project that involved such huge capital.

This project kicked off on 1st August 1998 and it costs the Group a total of 17 million Malaysian Ringgit in order to refurbish, maintenance, and operate the cranes and its systems. The Cranes were put up by us in co-operation with our sub-contractor, Kone Crane International within 3 months from the award of the project. We anticipate the refurbishment of the whole system to be completed ahead of its schedule i.e. 3 years from August 1998. We handle monthly about 120,000 m/tons of fertilizer, soya beans and maize.
Our maintenance contractor, Kone Crane International is the world leader in crane maintenance. They have involved in crane maintenance for more than 30 years. With more than 60,000 cranes under service contract, and 1,000 service technicians worldwide, it shows that KONECRANES International can ensure that the cranes and the conveyor systems are always in good working conditions.
Klang Port Management, Cargo Receivers, Ship-Owners and their agents are satisfied with our performance and we will strive to improve this prestige for the next millennium.
